Book Wars! Ugly Love By: Colleen Hoover (56)

Book Wars a weekly feature hosted between two book review blogs – A Life Bound By Books & Much Loved Books!

It’s a fact that book lovers know all about the covers of the books they covet.  Often when a title is released here in the US, it’s sometimes vastly different across the pond in the US.  So, Michelle from Much Loved Books and I have come together to create Book Wars to talk about the difference in covers when it comes to the US vs. UK versions.

We hope from time to time authors will chime in with their thoughts as well. We welcome everyone to comment and share their thoughts too! The more the merrier!

Before we get to this weeks Book Wars, we have a winner to announce. The Book Wars winner for Crush By: Nicole Williams is..... the UK COVER !  Thank you to everyone who voted for both books, and for picking a winner.

Also, there's a poll at the bottom of the post that we'd love to hear your input for the two covers! Tell us which one YOU love the most.

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+
Synopsis: When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our favorite cover.

Lisa So, this week we have two very different covers to choose from. And I know there are some out there who prefer books without people on the covers. I'm not one of them. I like a cover that calls to me. I'm all about the whole over all experience when it comes to a book and the cover is part of that.

I DO like the US cover... it has a somewhat tranquil feel to it, yet the UK cover has more of a pull to me because it's giving me a chance to have a sneak peek into the characters I'll meet reading this book. So, this weeks vote goes to the UK cover. I love the UK cover from the couple to the background and I can't wait to read it! So, what's YOUR vote this week? US or UK? Vote below.
Michelle This is such an easy pick for me this week. I live in the UK and I have the UK cover, but honestly to me its just a pretty cover and if I wasn't so obsessed with my covers matching I would not hesitate to pick up the US cover, which I will continue to covert.

When I saw the US cover it was instant love, I love the whole effect of the cover, even down to the bubble effect. From the blue colours, to the title, even the hazy light effect in the top. THIS is a winner for me, every single time.

VOTE for YOUR favorite cover of  NOW!
